Legal Notice
The plain-English version: this is one IT admin's personal project. We have nothing to do with SAP SE or anyone else.
No affiliation with SAP SE
This website has no affiliation, association, authorisation, endorsement, or connection of any kind with SAP SE, SAP America Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. SAP, S/4HANA, HANA, Fiori, NetWeaver, and all other SAP product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of SAP SE in Germany and other countries. Their use on this site is purely for identification and informational purposes under fair use — we are writing about these products, not claiming any relationship with the company that makes them.
No affiliation with any community organisation
This site aggregates and links to events and content from organisations including ASUG, SAP Insider, SAP Community, and SAP Inside Track. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these organisations. Event listings are provided for informational convenience. Always verify event details directly with the organiser before registering or making travel arrangements.
Informational purposes only
Everything on sap.wtf — error explanations, patch advisories, timing recommendations, survival guide articles, horror stories, and any other content — is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional IT advice, security consulting, legal advice, or any other form of professional service.
Patch timing recommendations (patch immediately, within 2 weeks, next planned window) are editorial judgements based on publicly available CVSS scores and our own assessment of likely deployment patterns. They are a starting point for your own decision-making process — not a substitute for it. Always verify against official SAP Security Notes and assess the impact in your specific environment before making changes to production systems.
No warranty
This site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep content accurate and up to date, but we make no guarantees. SAP releases patches, updates, and corrections frequently — information that was correct yesterday may not be correct today. Use this site as a helpful supplement to official SAP documentation, not a replacement for it.
Horror stories & user-submitted content
Stories submitted to the Horror Stories section are anonymous and submitted voluntarily by members of the SAP community. We moderate submissions for appropriateness but we cannot verify the accuracy of individual accounts. Stories are published as submitted — they represent the personal experiences and opinions of their anonymous authors, not the views of sap.wtf. If you believe a story contains false or defamatory information, contact us and we will review it promptly.
Who runs this
sap.wtf is a personal side project built and maintained by one IT admin who has spent too many years fighting SAP systems and wanted a better resource to exist. It is not a registered company. It is not backed by investors. It is not affiliated with any vendor, consultancy, or industry body.
"Just an IT admin who likes to complain about SAP — and occasionally help people fix it."
External links
This site links to external websites including SAP's official documentation, community organisations, and job listings. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any external site. Links to job listings or event registration pages are provided for convenience — we do not endorse or vet the organisations behind them.
Governing law
This site is operated as a personal project and makes no claims of jurisdiction. If you have a legal concern, contact us first — most issues can be resolved informally and quickly. We have no interest in disputes.
